Kitty goes to school at a quarter to eight.
一般现在时中，当主语为第三人称单数(she、he、it、单个人名)时动词也要用它的第三人称单数形式，即在动词词尾加-s或-es。其结构为:She/He/It/单个人名+动词第三人称单数(动词-s/-es)+..。
例如:Ann washes her face at half past seven.安七点半洗脸。
-What time is it -It's half past seven.(1)“What time is it ”意为“几点了 ”，用来询问具体的时间，回答时用“It is +具体时间.”。同义句为“What's the time ”。
例如:What time is it, Mum /What's the time, Mum 妈妈几点了 It's ten o'clock.十点了。
时间表达法。
整点:一种表达法，加上o’clock，也可以省略。如3:00 (three或three o'clock)
不是整点: 两种表达法，即顺读法和倒读法。
A.顺读法:小时+分钟。如8:15 (eight fifteen)、11:45 (eleven fortyfve)。
B.倒读法:分钟+past+小时，分钟+to+小时。
① 整点之后到30分之前，用“分钟+past+小时”。如6:07(seven pastsix)、10:18(eighteen past ten)
② 30分钟之后到60分钟之前，用“(相差的)分钟+to+(下一)小时”。如9:38(twenty-two to ten)、4:47(thirteen to five)
