Peru is famously known as the “land of the Incas”. A trip to Peru had been on my wish list for quite a while. It was finally time for me to visit the country.
My first day started in Lima, the capital of Peru. I met with the G Adventures representative(代表)of the tour here. G Adventures is an organization that helps you to connect with other like-minded people in small group-based travel adventures. It played a big part in helping to make Peru an unforgettable experience for me! In Lima, my representative discussed the plan for my tour, and I also had the chance to explore Lima in my own time, with many activities, including a city tour, show, biking tour, and more.
Day two had me taking a flight from Lima to Cusco. Many people visit Cusco for shopping but for me, the main reason for spending a day or two in Cusco was to adapt to the altitude(海拔). As I’d decided to reach the wonder of Machu Picchu, adaptation had become important to avoiding altitude sickness. I was happy to spend a day exploring Cusco. Cusco was once the capital of the Inca Empire. Today, it’s famous for its artists, paintings, clothing and traditional instruments. There’s something for everyone in this city.
The day finally came! Day three had me enjoying a lovely guided visit to Machu Picchu at sunrise. I had free time to explore the city on my own as well as with my guide. There was a lot to take in! I had to stop for a moment and felt the energy of such an ancient city. The history here is unbelievable and I will never forget my time here for as long as I live!
24.What is the author’s attitude to G Adventures
A.Doubtful. B.Satisfied. C.Uninterested. D.Hopeful.
25.Why did the author stay in Cusco
A.To go shopping.
B.To find a local guide.
C.To get used to the high altitude.
D.To do research on the Inca Empire.
26.How did the author feel when traveling around Machu Picchu
A.Full of excitement.
B.Out of luck.
C.Lost in doubt.
D.Deep in regret.
27.What is the best title for the text
A.My love of traveling
B.My wonderful trip to Peru
C.Peru: the “land of the Incas”
D.Traveling: the future of Peru
C
Travel allows us to experience the world. But as we travel, we are also leaving our footprints in every place we visit, and the wrong kind of travel badly influences the world. This is why culturally immersive (沉浸式的) travel is so important. One of the reasons that we started this blog was to help others travel better and feel comfortable getting off the beaten path (鲜有人涉足), communicating with locals, and take you “beyond the traditional bucket list”, if you will.
People who only get 2 weeks off per year are often just looking for an easy destination with a beach to relax on. This isn’t travel. This is a vacation. But “immersive travel” or “cultural travel” is an entirely new type of trip. It is about experiencing and protecting the various traditions around the world. It’s about being open to new experiences and willing to step into other’s shoes. Cultural travel is jumping in with both feet and leaving your idea about what your trip should be behind you. It’s eating local dishes and sleeping in guest houses. It’s building genuine connections with locals. It’s learning about the history of a country and finishing your trip with a greater understanding of the place you came to see and the people who live there.
Oftentimes in today’s age, “travelers” will visit a country just to snap some photos of the famous sights to post on Instagram or to drink the night away, or even just to relax on a tropical beach. But that kind of vacation can be harmful to the very communities you’re traveling to.
Apart from supporting the local communities and the protection of local customs and traditions, you’ll also experience some personal benefits through cultural travel. There’s simply no way to travel this way with a closed mind. You’ll get to know different cultures intimately and understand them a lot better. You’ll also become less judgmental as you travel more.
28.What’s the author’s purpose in writing the first paragraph
A.To describe the importance of cultural travel.
B.To stress the harmful influence of travel.
C.To recommend a totally different type of travel.
D.To express his unique feelings about cultural travel.
29.What can be inferred about the culturally immersive travel
A.It focuses on studying local people’s lifestyle.
B.Its major focus is protecting local traditions and customs.
C.Its travelers should be open-minded and understanding.
D.It is a specific way to make comments on other cultures.
30.According to the author, today’s travelers tend to .
A.build close connections with the locals during the travel
B.show more interest in the history of a travel destination
C.post the photos taken on the journey on social media
D.choose a tourist attraction for adventure and exploration
31.Where is the text probably taken from
A.A travel brochure. B.A blog post.
C.A history magazine. D.An encyclopedia website.

Teenagers’ travelling around the world alone has been making headlines quite often. A young person alone in a dangerous situation attracts attention. Young sailors also attract various views. For example, Jessica Watson was asked by the government to call off her solo trip across the ocean, yet the Prime Minister (总理) called her “a hero for young Australians” when she returned. It seems that views are poles apart on the ability and independence of young people.
Some experts tell us that teenage brains are likely to make wrong judgments. But such ideas often do not apply to specific individuals (个体). Between the ages of 14 and 18, teenagers differ greatly in their abilities. The amount of independence that each is allowed should be determined not simply by their ages but by discussion with the related and responsible adults. Some teens are certainly inexperienced and make childish mistakes, but the ones who attempt dangerous journeys normally do so by winning the confidence of hard-headed and experienced adult supporters.
But it’s also wrong to think that any 16-year-old can make a hit as Jessica Watson. Watson calls herself“a common girl who has a dream”. Her purpose is to encourage teenagers but this idea can have the opposite effect of making them feel not good enough because great achievements are beyond them. Should all teens have such wild dreams Actually, individuals face different conditions that limit their dreams.
Teenagers who travel around the world alone should not be judged by preconceived (先入为主的) views about young people. Nor should “common” teenagers come under pressure to long for extraordinary personal goals. In fact, I believe the example of solo sailing overstresses what an individual can do. The teenage years are when most of us “common” people learn that we can achieve great things in cooperation with others.
32.Why is Jessica Watson mentioned in the first paragraph
A.To set a heroic example to teenagers.
B.To point out the public’s interest in young people.
C.To introduce different opinions on teenagers’ adventures.
D.To show the Prime Minister disagreed with the government.
33.What can determine the amount of teenagers’ independence
A.Different journeys. B.Brain development.
C.Communication with adults. D.Confidence in themselves.
34.What does the underlined part “a common girl who has a dream” mean
A.Watson likes dangerous journeys.
B.Teenagers can achieve success.
C.Watson can accept who she is.
D.Teenagers should go travelling.
35.What’s the author’s attitude towards teenagers’ act of travelling alone
A.Doubtful. B.Supportive. C.Uncaring. D.Neutral.

Jackson, now a successful architect in New York City, comes back to his father’s small wooden house that is on an island in the middle of a lake in New Hampshire. Jackson is fond of fishing. He often takes his son and daughters to fish in the same place, where he used to fish when he was a child. His children have a lot of fun fishing, which reminds(提醒) him of the day 34 years ago.
34 years ago, Jackson was 11 years old and lived with his family on this island. On the day before the bass season opened, Jackson and his father were fishing early in the evening, catching sunfish. When his fishing rod(钓竿) bent, he knew something huge was at the other end.
He very carefully lifted the fish from the water. It was the largest one he had ever seen, but it was a bass.
The boy and his father looked at the handsome fish, its gills(鳃) playing back and forth in the moonlight. The father lit a match and looked at his watch. It was 10 pm—two hours before the season opened. He looked at the huge fish, and then at the boy.
“You’ll have to put the fish back, son,” he said.
“Dad!” cried the boy.
“There will be other fish,” said his father.
“Not as big as this one,” the boy cried and shouted.
He looked around the lake. No other fishermen or boats were anywhere around in the moonlight. He looked again at his father. Even though no one had seen them, and nor could anyone ever know what time he caught the fish, the boy could tell from his father’s voice clearly that the decision couldn’t be changed.
The father patted him lightly on the shoulder and sincerely taught him, “My boy, rules are a simple matter of right and wrong. It is the practice of rules that is difficult, but it’s your choice.”
注意:续写词数应为150个左右。
Jackson found himself in a difficult situation.

C
故选A。
29.C 推理判断题。根据第二段中的“It is about experiencing and protecting...should be behind you.”可知,沉浸式文化旅行是体验和保护各种传统,是对新体验持开放的态度,并愿意换位思考,它需要游客全身心的投入。故可推知,沉浸式文化旅行要求旅行者心胸开阔、善解人意。故选C。

第二节
One possible version:
Jackson found himself in a difficult situation. He really wanted to keep the largest bass in his heart of hearts. However, his father was so determined that he had no choice but to give it up. Tears welling up in his eyes, he tried to hold them back but it was useless. He took a final look at the fish as if he were saying goodbye to the fish, and then he slowly put the huge bass back to the lake.
Do we do right when no one is looking I think that if I had been taught to put the fish back when I was young, I would have learned the truth. The decision to do right remains in my memory. It’s nothing about others but only about ourselves, as well as our honesty. So, even if no one is looking at us, we shouldn’t break the rules and do wrong. If everyone in the world behaves just like this, the future of the world will be better and better.
