Interestingly, if red and blue go together, it becomes purple. So, you will see three colors now. The empty glass keeps getting water. In the end, there will be the same quantity of water in each glass.

Research shows that not enough people wash their hands with soap. Experts believe that this leads to the deaths of millions of people every year.
Myriam Sidibe says that washing hands with soap can make a big difference in reducing flu and other
diseases(疾病). It can also prevent(预防)babies from getting sick and keep children healthy.
However, washing hands with soap doesn’t happen as often as you might think. This may happen in poorer countries, but it’s also because for many people, washing hands with soap is just not part of their everyday life. This is what Global Handwashing Day tries to do.
Since the first Global Handwashing Day, the campaign(运动)has held many different activities around the world. In 2014, Global Handwashing Day was used in the fight against Ebola(埃博拉病毒).
Today, the day is still used to make people know the importance of cleaning hands with soap. It hopes this can become a necessary part of people’s lives and make a big difference to the health of millions around the world.

Where is this all to end Are we turning the world into a big rubbish dump, or is there any hope that we can get rid of(摆脱) the pollution Luckily, millions of people have been warned of the danger of pollution. Large numbers of people are now working hard to bring pollution under control.

village never thought they would have safe water.
“We used to wake up very early in the morning to collect water,” Lilian says. She and others in her village in Rwanda, Africa would spend hours each day walking to get water.

And they don’t have to worry about diseases any more, and children are able to spend more time on their studies instead of getting water. Lilian also got a new job because of the water project. “My dream is to start a real business and I know I will get there someday,” Lilian says. “The money I get from selling water is the first step.”
