四、任务型阅读
阅读下文并回答问题。
Many people travel to different places in the world by air. Usually it takes a long time, maybe half a day, for people to stay in the plane. So airlines (航空公司) give people food. But it is common that they feel bad about the food taste. To solve this problem, airlines try hard to improve their food. They would like to do so because they don’t want to lose customers (顾客).
However, according to some researches (调查), part of the reason why plane food tastes bad is that at high altitude (海拔) our body changes in a special way. That’s why we cannot taste things as well as we do on the ground. Also, as the plane moves up, the air pressure (压强) inside the plane changes a lot, which makes our taste buds (味蕾) lose part of their feelings. So we think the food in the plane tastes bad. The sad fact, however, is that our noses have no idea.
All of these help to explain why airlines choose to give passengers very salty (咸的) and spicy (辛辣的) food. Without doing so, people inside the plane would find the food terrible.
Though airlines try their best, it is not as easy as they thought. Because they can’t deal with the special environment successfully, such as the change in air pressure, making food taste good is still hard for them.
25.Do people think plane food taste bad
26.What do airlines want by improving their plane food
27.Why does the plane food taste bad
28.Do you think it’s important to improve plane food Why or why not

Different cultures make different families. For example, there are differences in the way Chinese and Americans raise children.
First, Chinese and American families have different attitudes(态度) towards independence. Each Chinese child has been considered to be the apple of parents’ eyes. It is not surprising to see Chinese parents always help their children with getting dressed, having meals, bathing, and other things. American parents, on the other hand, teach their children how to do things alone from childhood.
Second, most Chinese parents often make their children have extra classes, such as piano, drawing, or singing. Parents want their children to develop in an all-round way and be better students than other children. The problem is that their children may not be interested in these classes. American parents try to respect their children’s interest and usually encourage them to do what they like.
Third, there is a difference in the way parents in China and America treat mistakes that children make. Many Chinese people believe in the saying.“Spare the rod, spoil the child(不打不成器)” When Chinese parents see their children make mistakes, they often get angry. Some even hit them instead of making them realize their mistakes. This affects children growth and the forming of their character, and also makes the generation gap(代沟) wide. American parents think it is common for children to make mistakes because mistakes are a part of life. They often say, “It’s OK to make mistakes. Making mistakes helps you learn.” They help their children deal with mistakes by giving them ideas about how to turn mistakes into learning opportunities(机会).
Families in China and America are quite different, and one way may seem better than the other, but it is better to think about whether the parents fit the family or not instead of talking about which one is wrong or right.
Here we will talk about three differences in the way that Chinese parents and American parents raise children. First, they have different attitudes towards 43 . Chinese parent always try to do almost 44 for their children. However, American parents try to teach their children how to 45 with things on their own from childhood. Second, they have different opinions on children’s interest. Chinese children are often made to take extra classes. American children are usually 46 to do what they like. Third, they have different ways to treat children’s mistakes. Chinese parents are angry about children’s mistakes and sometimes ever hit them. American parents think everyone makes mistakes and that making mistakes is a good chance to 47 something.
