A group of former(以前的) street children have just completed a tour of some UK schools, where they told stories of how they were inspired
(鼓舞)by surfing.
Lucky Nozasali and others told stories about
how they had to do things like looking for food in
bins or asking for food in the street.They were helped by an organization called Umthombo, which uses activities like surfing and football to
get kids off the streets.
The UK charity Amos Trust organized the tour by the Surfers Not Street Children group,
where the three boys told their stories to pupils.
Lucky lived on the streets of Durban,South Africa for eight years after his parents were killed in a car accident,but says his life has been turned
around by learning to swim and surf.
“I love the ocean,”he says.“It makes me feel free.Now my whole life is spent around the
