Anger is a kind of feeling. Many things can make you angry. When your teacher gives you too much homework, when a friend borrow your favorite thing and then breaks it, when your team loses an important game, you may get really angry.
Usually, your body will tell you when you are angry. For example, you breathe (呼吸) faster, your face turns red, and you may want to break something or hit (打) someone, but sometimes you hide your anger. For example, you are really angry, but you may keep it to yourself. The worst thing is to do nothing but keep quiet. The problem is that if you do this, you may get a headache or your stomach may get hurt.
In fact, it’s normal for you to get angry sometimes. But anger must be let out in the right way. When you get angry, you can talk about it with other people and share your problems with them, such as your parents, a teacher, etc.
If you talk about anger, those bad feelings can start to go away. So you are halfway to solving a problem just by talking to someone about it. Here are some other things you can do when you start to feel angry: talk to a good friend; count from 1 to 100; give someone a hug (拥抱); think about good things, etc.

I’m Dr. Martin. A few days ago, I made a survey (调查) on children in Shanghai. The result shows that 18% of the young students in Shanghai have mental (心理的) problems. They often have a lot of worries and feel very unhappy. Some students feel worried because they have problems with their schoolwork. Others have problems getting on well with their parents or classmates. Here are two examples of them. Su Mei, a 14-year-old school girl, is very afraid of exams. Though she studies the hardest in her class, she can’t pass the exams. She can’t think of anything while she is having an exam. Now she is so worried about the coming exam that she can’t fall asleep for days. Lucy is a middle school student who comes from a poor family. She does well in her studies. But she doesn’t have enough money to buy beautiful clothes and her classmates always laugh at her. She hardly has a friend. So she always feels quite sad. She says that one day she might leave her home without telling her parents. Those children who have mental problems won’t go and ask for help. They worry that others will laugh at them if they go to see a doctor. How to help those children Mr. Ma, a famous expert, says that the most important thing that parents and teachers should do is to care more about children. And trying to be their friends is also necessary.

Dear Tina,
I’m sorry to hear that you are worried about the coming exam. Here is my advice. I hope it’s helpful to you.
First of all, the exam results don’t mean everything. It’s good to care about the result, but if you worry too much about it, you will not be able to enjoy your study. Next, if you are too nervous, you’d better do something to relax. Don’t spend your time worrying about the exams all the time.
Just believe in yourself and try your best. I always believe you’re the best!
Yours,
Laura
