When I was two years old, my parents were still getting used to the lifestyle of raising a kid, but what they had noticed was what they considered “out of the ordinary” behavior. Whatever toys I played with, I placed them in a straight line. When others were unfriendly to me, I became changeable. My diagnosis (诊断) was in 1999, a time when a type of autism (孤独症) called PDD-NOS was still not commonly understood and was still being observed. My parents were initially shocked at this result.
As I got older, I began to develop from keeping to myself to interacting with other kids once I entered a public school in first grade. I noticed how the other kids were able to answer questions in class a lot faster than I could understand. Since fourth grade, I joined my school’s marching band, something I never had any interest in, but my mom made me believe that it was a great way to not only make friends, but to help gain more confidence in myself.
At the same time during fourth grade, I discovered my talent for creative writing. I realized, on the day I wrote my first story about superheroes, my processed thinking and my imagination provided a basic feature for my character: a hidden talent. As the years passed, I helped my fellow classmates with articles, and I even shared the original pieces I wrote with my classmates occasionally, although I was still unaware about my diagnosis.
However, one day when I was fifteen years old, I learned the real truth about myself. My parents kept it from me because they thought it would affect my self-respect. I understood why they’d hide this from me because they really love me, and ever since then, I’ve accepted who I am, and I use my talents to help others who need a friend.

Family vlogging — the frequent recording and uploading of personal videos of the family, usually on video sharing website — has become big business nowadays, especially among parents of young children. The more viewers such videos can get, the more money the family can make. At first thought, it does seem like an easy way to make money. However, are we doing right by putting their lives up for public attention
For one thing, as the children grow up, they increasingly become aware that what they do needs to be admirable enough for the public to enjoy — Being young children, they also would want to do whatever it takes to please others. They then feel the pressure to be perfect, and as that is something not always possible, they become anxious and ments from viewers and the expectations of sponsors (赞助者) can also affect the parents’ reactions towards their children.
Another problem is the lack of privacy in the children’s lives. As the children reach adolescence, there is a greater need for personal space. At 12 or 13, very few children would appreciate being filmed while eating or having a conversation with their friends. Teenhood is a time of significant change in an individual, both physically and emotionally, and is a time when parents need to protect their children and guide them, instead of exposing them to the eyes of the public.
Family vlogging can be irresistible, given how it allows parents to bring greater fun to their family lives. There is also the easy money and the fame to look forward to. Indeed, all would probably go well, but only as long as parents keep in mind that, if not managed well, making their children live their lives in the unforgiving eyes of the public could prove to be a big mistake.
32. How does vlogging about children’s lives influence the family
A. Children will get used to public attention.
B. Children may suffer from too much pressure.
C. Parents may show no concern for their children.
D. Parents become addicted to exposing their children to the public.
33. How does the writer mainly develop his argument
A. By providing examples B. By listing numbers
C. By making comparisons D. By analyzing causes
34. What’s the writer’s purpose of writing the text
A. To introduce a new big business
B. To show how vlogging influence people’s lives.
C. To persuade parents to watch out for comments from viewers.
D. To convince parents of the danger of vlogging about children’s lives.
35. What’s the writer’s attitude to vlogging about children’s lives
A. negative B. positive C. neutral D. uninterested
第二节 (共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
Nowadays many people realize kitchen gardening helps reduce their carbon emissions (排放) and save them hard-earned cash and choose to grow their own food. 36
Select your garden location. You don’t need a plot of land to grow your own food. You can grow inside or outside. 37 But wherever you’re planting, what you need is good sun exposure. Many plants, especially fruit trees, require six hours of full sun during the day.
Select your plants. After that, you’re ready to choose which plants will work best for your garden. If you’ve got a yard, you have your choice of beans, root vegetables, fruit trees, berries, and herbs. 38 Consider your container size when choosing your plants. A limited space garden can support peppers, herbs, and greens grown in small containers. Beans and tomatoes, on the other hand, need containers at least two feet in diameter.
Choose good soil. If your yard garden has quality soil, you can plant food in it. Otherwise, you may choose purchased soil in raised beds. You’ll see a difference when using high-end organic soil.
39 Instead of feeding your plants a little water all the time, deep and infrequent watering encourages root growth. However, if you live in a particularly hot climate, you may still have to water up to twice daily if the top two inches of soil are dry.
Enjoy your harvest. Nothing tastes better than the food you grew yourself, and after all your hard work gardening, you deserve a celebration. 40 Maybe you’ll inspire another gardener to take up the tool.
A. Feed your plants nutrients.
B. Water deeply and infrequently.
C. Invite some friends over for dinner.
D. Of course, whether to celebrate is up to you.
E. So we designed this guide to help you grow your own food.
F. Even a well-lit window can grow vegetables in small containers.
G. Container gardeners often favor tomatoes, onions, and small fruit trees.

Her name was Mrs. Thompson. And as she stood in front of the 5th grade class on the very first day she looked at her students and said that she loved them all the same. But that was impossible because there in the front row was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard. Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he didn’t play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and that he constantly needed a bath. She paid no attention to Teddy.
However, when she read his file, she was in surprise. Teddy’s first grade teacher wrote, “Teddy is a bright child with a ready laugh. He does his work neatly and has good manners...he is a joy to be around.’’ His second grade teacher wrote, “Teddy is an excellent student, well liked by his classmates. But he is troubled because his mother has a deadly illness and life at home must be a struggle.” His third grade teacher wrote, “His mother’s death has been hard on him. He tried to do his best but his father doesn’t show much interest.” Teddy’s fourth grade teacher wrote, “Teddy is withdrawn and doesn’t show much interest in school. He doesn’t have many friends and sometimes sleeps in class.” By now, Mrs. Thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of herself. She thought that she could make a difference.
She felt even worse when her students brought her Christmas presents, wrapped in beautiful paper and tied with pretty ribbons, except for Teddy’s. His present was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper that he got from a grocery bag. Mrs. Thompson opened it in the middle of the other presents. Some of the children started to laugh when she found a stone bracelet (手镯) with some of the stones missing, and a bottle that was one-quarter full of perfume(香水).
Paragraph 1:
Mrs. Thompson, her voice choked up with tears, thanked her students for their presents.

Dear Tom,
I’m sorry to hear that you are addicted to short videos and lack interest in learning. I’m writing to offer you some suggestions.
Short videos do have some benefits. We can release pressure, share good times, ect. However, in my opinion, firstly, you should keep a balance between leisure activities and learning. Only on the premise of self-consciousness can we benefit from modern technologies rather than being slaves of such new technologies. You should focus on study. Secondly, you can join your friends in playing sports activities, such as running, playing football and so or.
I hope my suggestions will be of some help for you. I believe you can make it.
Yours
Li Hua
Paragraph 1:
Mrs. Thompson, her voice choked up with tears, thanked her students for their presents. And then she showed how she liked Teddy’s presents, putting the bracelet on, and using some of the perfume on her wrist. From then on, Mrs. Thompson paid particular attention to Teddy. As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come alive. The more she encouraged him, the faster he responded and he showed much interest in study. By the end of the year, Teddy had become one of the excellent children in the class.
Paragraph 2:
Ten years later, Teddy invited Mrs. Thompson to attend his wedding as groom’s mother. She used the bracelet and the perfume which were the present of that year. At the wedding ceremony, she met the man with good manners. He said to her, “Thank you, Mrs. Thompson. Today you smelled just like my mom used to.” Mrs. Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back. She said, “Teddy, you were the one who taught me that I could make a difference. I’m so proud that today I can be your mother!”
